of Otis Rush. From start to finish his killer sounding guitar licks are simmering beneath it all.
Fine sax by Abb Locke, a brief but beautiful guitar solo by Otis Rush, and the beautiful female voices harmonizing in the background throughout make this an especially sastisfying track to my ears.
This is a rare 45 RPM disc I bought in Chicago decades ago and remains very scarce.
I've never been able to find it on the web until I stumbled upon your site and a link to Cleo's Back led me here to your copy in May 2020..
So thank you for sharing this treasure.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your comment, your description is so true!
Otis Rush and Abb Locke are masterful here, harmonized on "Blues Party" by the voice of Zora Young.
I bought this record in the mid-80s from a Parisian record store.
I also made a Youtube video from "Cleo's Back" a few months ago.
Thank you again for coming here to listen.
Stay safe and healthy.

6Mike KingLundi 25 Mai 2020 à 18:15Hello Gerard,
Thank you for your reply. Zora Young's voice is very beautiful, as she sings the simple phrase,
"Oooooh, oooooh, oooooh, let me tell you 'bout these blues", which is all of the lyrics, essentially.
The chat at the end between Zora Young and the pleading by bass player Nolan Struck, while the guitar of Otis Rush continues is a sweet finish as well.
Blues Party is a beauty, no doubt.
Thanks again Gerard and stay safe as well

Le Cléo's back de Abb Locke ainsi que le When you Wake up de Cash Mc Call, je ne les conaissais pas, ils sont vraiment bons, merci et Amitiés, Philippe.
